rainy marrakech in colour
March 8, 2010 by Adrian

I converted some of the shots I took yesterday to colour and unusually for me, I preferred them. They seemed to have more punch and brought the wet streets of Marrakech to life a little bit.

Perhaps you can help. I am looking to do a street project on ‘children on the streets’ here in Morocco. I need someone who can interpret for me. I will be going out at all times of day to talk to the kids, find out where they sleep, eat, play. Basically I want to document their lives in order that the problem can be made more public and something, slowly, inshallah, can be done about it.

Let me know if you think you know anyone. 066 217 2777.

Imlil Trek
March 1, 2010 by Adrian

We went to Imlil on Sunday for a Trek in the mountains. It should have been a good half days trek but it was so windy we had to limit it to just 2 hours and a break for tea in a little Berber house. They were a wonderful family and looked after us with true Moroccan hospitality.
One of the treks I will be doing on a regular basis with my photography tours.

Mountain Biking in the Atlas
January 18, 2010 by Adrian

I took my bike on the car last week for a little ride in the mountains with my friend Nic.

Just 30 minutes out of Marrakech and we were deep in a valley with no-one else around except the local villagers.

We cycled 10kms up an average 8% gradient to a little village that no westerner has ever been to!

We had the pleasure of buying some olive oil pressed using the traditional method.  We sat with Hamid (one of the villagers) and ate Berber bread dipped in olive oil that had just been pressed and drank steaming  hot mint tea.

Absolutely wonderful.
