Thanks for coming by and finding out a bit about me.
Who am I? I am a passionate photographer and a hotelier. You won’t find much about hotels on this site (I might post the odd review here and there or take a few photos) but mostly I will keep this site about photography. I am also a great foodie! My wife and I and our two tiddlywinks travel everywhere in search of great restaurants.
Anyway, keeping it simple – I had a hotel in the Cotswolds for 7 years (sold in January 08) and I moved en-famille to Marrakech to pursue a better life in the sun and possibly do a riad. With the recession and escalating prices we decided against the riad and I decided to use the time off to pursue my love of photographing.
I have always seen the world with a 35mm eye. I can’t help it! When I look at things, even when I don’t have a camera I frame them. I look for light, shadows, reflections in windows. It comes naturally to me.
As a child I was dragged along to the local photo club every Tuesday night from the moment I didn’t need my nappies changing. For the first 10 years I looked at the slides and listened to the technical talk and was mostly bored. But then something clicked (literally) and I have not been without a camera since.
Having the time to do something you love is wonderful but without direction it can become more of a frustration and so I decided to start doing it for work rather than just wandering streets and taking random shots. And so it was that within a few months I had ‘done’ several events, made a book of Morocco and even done fashion shoot.
I feel very fortunate to be doing what I love. Weddings, Events, Food Photography, Architecture, Travel, I don’t see the need to specialise in any one of these, if you can see a picture you can see a picture.
Please call me or email if there is anything I can do for you.
All the best.
Adrian
